Drowning Education Awareness and Prevention (D.E.A.P.) Water Safety for Life was officially recognized
as a non-profit public benefit organization on July 2, 2007. That same day "Pepito" would have celebrated
his third birthday, if he had not tragically drowned in 2006. Our mission is to prevent drowning through education,
drowning hazard awareness and the giveaway of lifejackets (PFD's), swimming lessons and CPR (cardiopulmonary resuscitation)
training within Shasta County, California. Our vision is to create a "water safe" and "water smart"
community where drowning and other water-related injuries do not exist.
Thank You So Much for Your Kind Words, Support, and Encouragement!
I cannot say "thank you" enough to my dearest family and friends. You have seen us through
our darkest hour and helped us arrive at the other side with our mission in hand.--To Billie and Denise, you have made
D.E.A.P. possible. I don't know what we would do without you.--To Ann, we cannot say thank you enough.--To all the
first responders, police, fire department, EMTs, Doctors, and nurses...thank you for trying so hard. For all you have
done and everything you continue to do...Thank you.
